Back To Mexico

Some of you may have heard already, and I think I may have mentioned the fact that we are in the middle of making our way back to Mexico. It hasn't even been a year yet, but our hearts are yanking us south of the border. Not too long ago, the elders here at Newnan had a meeting with Ryan and were very encouraging in saying that they don't want to keep missionaries off the field. Even though we have gained much knowledge and we know there is more education to take place here, our home is among our family in Mexico.

Now we are taking steps for our return and what we consider, our final move. Although the decision to go back was an easy one, it was still difficult to tell family. Deep down I believe both sides knew that we would not stay in the States for long, but now there is a grandchild in the picture. I realize that it is difficult for the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins to swallow this decision, but to actually come out and say it left somewhat of a bittersweet taste in my mouth. I suppose that since my side of the family isn’t large, I want that sense of unity among us. Ryan’s family is large and we want Jax to really belong. Well, when it all comes down to it, we will share and grow with our families and love and know each other just as well as the others, we will just have to work at it a little harder and go about it in some creative ways.

So anywho, we’re sending off the packet to Bell Trust soon, we’ve talked to some of our previous supporters, and if God sees fit, we may be back as early as January, but more realistically, by the end of next summer. We are moving out of our house now and renting a smaller place with a 6 month lease. So plans are being made and we now have an incredible sponsoring congregation through Newnan.

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE pray for our fund raising. We need all the help we can get. So if you want to help us out, know of someone who will, or you yourself have recently left the field and can point us in the direction of some of your previous supporters, let me know. Letters are waiting to be sent! I thank you in advance for your prayers and well wishes.
I promise the next blog (when I think of the word “blog” I always hear it with a vomiting sound) will not be so serious!
