The Tales of Jax

Jaxon has been through a lot this last week. He received his last RSV shot, we're happy those are over. Did you know that those shots are only for preemies and that they are a whopping $2,000 a pop!? Jaxon has gotten one of these once a month since he's come home from the hospital. That means that just in those shots alone, he's worth $14,000. That's one exspensive baby if you include his birth and NICU, but we won't go there. Jax also had a check-up with his doctor and she says that he doesn't even look like a preemie anymore. He weighs 17.9 pounds and is 24 inches long. He's a big boy and starting to sit up on his own. He loves his food and is now only really wanting his bottle in the morning and right before he goes to bed. Jaxon also went and got his passport picture taken this past week. That's it above. We are gearing up for Mexico! We are getting so excited, especially after speaking with several of our friends down there. We just can't wait for Jaxon to meet everyone. So, apart from all these little mile stones that Jaxon is reaching, he is also scaring his parents. Jax has now entered the phase of screaming when he wants something. Now we knew that if we ever had a biological child that we were doomed. Both Ryan and I were "attention-getters" in one way or the other when we were little (ok, maybe we still are), so of course Jax will be. The only thing is that we didn't realize that it was going to start so soon. His thing right now is that if we are both home, he wants both of us in the same room as him. One of us doesn't do the trick. He yells, with this high-pitched squeal if one of us walks out. He's something else...especially when he's screaming and one of us picks him up, then he smiles at the other one like, "HA! SEE, I KNEW I WOULD GET MY WAY!". Amazing, absolutley amazing...and its all just starting. So that's him in a nutshell for now. Hope you all have a great weekend. Our love to everyone!
