No Rest For the Weary

After a week of Jaxon and I both being ill, we are finally feeling "normal." I put this in quotes because I am sure there will be comments on either one of us being labeled as normal. So anywho, we are feeling better and are ready to get back into the swing of things. Everything is about to pick back up and we will be busy again. We have begun meetings for a group from NCC to go to Mexico City this summer. We are super excited about the response we had from the congregation in those wanting to go. We expected a lot of interest from the youth but were stunned to find that we had more adults interested. We will have our commitment meeting this Sunday and then begin making plans to have some fundraising activities as a group.

Ryan has been busy with work of course and in a couple of weeks will be traveling to Mobile, Alabama with the youth for Leadership Training for Christ (LTC). The youth has participated in this event every year and Ryan has been working with the group focusing on praise and worship. I plan on going to my parents' place for an extended weekend. A week after Ryan returns his parents are coming. We are very excited for them to come and see how much their newest grandson has grown since Christmas. I can't wait! I am busy with the church’s website, working on some design things for upcoming church events, and so forth.

I would like to ask you all to pray for a particular family. The Dennis family has been visiting at NCC for quite some time. They also have a little boy named Jaxon, spelled the same and everything, he’s 4…well, Ginger the mother gave birth to another little boy almost 6 weeks ago. Laston came way early, like our little Jaxon. He is still in the NICU here in Atlanta and is growing well, but is still having problems with some respiratory things and his iron is still low. Please keep Laston and his family in your prayers. I know that Ginger is having a hard time and just wants her baby home. It seems as though it has been an eternity for her. Pray that Laston heals perfectly and quickly that he can join the rest of his family at home.

Ok, signing off for now…don’t forget to set your clocks ahead!

Love the picture. You have always been amazing at stuff like that. Sorry you have been sick. People have gotten really bad this year. Glad to hear you are almost over it. If you get a chance would you drop us your phone digits in an e-mail?
Happy spring forward!
