Well...hello to all. I want to apologize for my lack of blogging. To be honest, I just haven't felt up to it lately and also have been busy trying to be busy. So Jaxon and I have been in the States now for 92 days...and well...we miss home. We miss our "normal" routine and our familiar surroundings. Being here has had many positives though. Jaxon has really had the opportunity to get to know his Aunt, Uncle, cousins, and of course his Pawpaw and Mimi. He's is spoiled rotten, but just like the baby of the family should be.
Jax has had plenty of adventures since being here. He's gone to several birthday parties, been swimming all summer, has gone to school, had an allergic reaction, and even made a trip to the ER. I can barely catch my breath after typing all of that.
I've tried to keep busy with helping Shauna (sister-in-law) with things for the Children's Ministry at Monterey, taking care of myself and health of course, and I made a trip to visit my parents in North Carolina. Ryan is back with us and we will soon make our journey back to Mexico.
So here's the great news, my DNA results have come in and I DO NOT have MEN Type 2. This is great news! We were all in shock at the negative results. Even my doctor was shocked, but pleased just as well. The lump in my throat appears to be getting smaller, my calcium levels and parathyroid levels are slowly getting back to normal. My doc believes that this is due to the extra Vitamin and Calcium that I am taking daily. There is a possibility that there will be an increase of this medicine, but if all I have to do is pop a couple of pills everyday...no sweat off my back. So, after speaking with the doctor today, I have clearance to go home!
So we will end our time here in Lubbock with Jax's birthday party. We of course will be celebrating Jaxon's second birthday, but we are also celebrating the good news for our family. Knowing that we don't have to worry about Jaxon's health as far as this disease is concerned. We praise our Lord for answering our prayers in this manner. We thank you all for being in battle with us through prayer. We know God listens to our hearts and pleas, because really...God is the only answer to this. We love you all and my next report will be from Mexico. Love to you and yours.
