Heads up everyone! We are currently in Lubbock, TX for a bit. Here's the scoop...
I have been feeling a little under-the-weather for...well...really since Jax has been born. I've been doing a lot of things to get healthier and such. Since we've been in Mexico I've been seeing various doctors to help with Diabetes prevention and also a Nutritionist. I'm not at risk for Diabetes but still will continue to see this doctor to talk about prevention. After a few appointments, both doctors could not understand why I was continuing to face certain health issues, so they ran some tests...come to find out my Thyroid levels for out of this world!
Anywho...although this is just another thing to face, it is an answer to some of my health issues that I've been having for almost 2 years. SO....YIPPY! It's good to know people and some friends helped with getting me an appointment with an Endrocrinologist here in Lubbock. We left early because of the H1N1 Flu scare in Mexico...not that we were afraid of contracting it...because well, we were safe as long as we took percaution...however, we were afraid that the might have closed the borders and then I wouldn't be able to cross for my appointment.
So, here we are...awaiting doctor's visits and such. I had a great birthday this year. Best present...not contracting the H1N1 virus...hahahahaha. Thank you to everyone for the wonder birthday wishes. Ang! You are a wonderful and dear friend. Thank you for the one-on-one time...and the shopping spree...I couldn't have asked for a better person to do those things with.
Please keep me and of course, Ryan & Jax in your prayers. Although we are here for good reasons, its difficult to be away from the work in Mexico. We miss our family there and know that things are crazy down there with schools and businesses being closed. Benj & Care...we think of you all everyday and pray for your family more often!
I'm out for now and will keep you all updated! Much love!

Thanks for yoru prayers. I was hoping to see pic of the new haircut on Jax. Post some! Take care - praying for good doc appointments for you!
I am just so glad you are here, safe with us. I can't wait to see you again, love!
It is crazy how much your thyroid controls, isn't it? I have been on meds since 2003 and when mine get out of control *I* get out of control. I'm glad you found out what was going on and hope it is easy for you to manage. We need to get together while you are here!! It was so good to see you the other night. {hug}
Hey there. Hope all is well. Thinking of ya'll.
Love, Gayle Swafford
We are praying for you, big-time, Amanda. We realize that you must feel that your life is on "hold" right now, but enoy the down time withaxon and family and realize that things, healthwise, are only going to get better. God bless.
