We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with my family. The four of us (Benson included) headed up to Charlotte, NC to be with my family for the holiday. We got there and set up camp. Jax did very well on the trip there, poor kid has been sick for over a week now. My brother Ken, and his wife Adriane and son, Nico joined us on Wednesday. We had a good time together and had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. Thanks to Kroger I made a Pumpkin Struesel pie that was a HIT! It was very yummy. We had plenty of fun and kept busy while we were there. Mom joined us for some shopping at the local square there and then Saturday the whole family was brave enough to make our way to Concord Mills...we definately shopped 'til we dropped. We came home Sunday and were faced with bad weather and bad traffic. A trip that normally takes us 5 hours turned into 8. Jax had enough by the end of that trip. I am so thankful for the memories we made with family over the holiday. Jax went down his first slide and took his first steps. He is now being shy about the whole walking thing, but I'm sure its due to his cold. He's looking and acting better today...no runny nose. I have add one more thing. The other day I was facebooking with my friend Carolyn and we were reminising about two Thanksgivings ago when we were all around her dinner table for the celebration. They had paper feathers for us all to write our "thankful things" on. We, being the smarty pants we are, we put something to the effect of: We are thankful that we don't have any annoying children. Well, who would have known that God took that message and changed it for good. Not that Jax is annoying, well not all the time. Now we have a constant reminder of God's miracles and blessing...we wake up to him waving at us every morning. Thank you Carolyn for sharing that memory with me.
So here are some pictures of Jax in the leaves at my parents' place over the weekend

I am so glad that you all had a happy holiday. Richard and I were in Atlanta and had fun as well. We were some of the crazy people standing in line at the Target at 6am... but we got what we went for so I guess it was worth it! :)
Are you guys still headed to Lubbock at all? Let me know! Much love!!!
