This is an exciting time for my little family. We have been busy with Jax...just trying to keep up with the crawling, pulling-up, trying-to-walk, cutting-four-teeth-at-once, bumping-his-head-everywhere, little guy has been a change of pace. He's a treat and every stage he enters is so much fun. He's trying so hard to stand on his own and learning on the way that some things aren't as sturdy as others. He's suffered a busted lip and a knock to the head that we thought for sure would leave a bruise for great pictures, but no such luck.
My in-laws were here this past week. We had a great time and Jaxon loved seeing his Pawpaw and Mimi. He loved waking up in the mornings and having them there to greet him with kisses and hugs. The day they left, and after his nap, I brought him out to the living room. On our way down the hall he had this huge smile on his face and then we got to the living room and no one was there. "Sorry kid, its just the two of us," I said. That smile went away and he just starred at me...the feeling was mutual. I always have a hard time when Bourley and Rita leave. Its fun to be busy with family and being out and about.
Let's see, there's a picture of Ryan and Jax at the DeSoto Caverns in Alabama. Ryan enjoys these little excursions that the two of them have together. They went to their first football game last night. Those two are the greatest men I know. I am so freakin' lucky!!
So the day after Bourley and Rita left, we took Jax for his first haircut. He really enjoyed walking in and seeing all the cool cartoon-like things they had there...and then he was strapped in the chair, a bib was put around his neck and then some lady started messing around with him. Number one, Jaxon hates, I mean HATES to be messed with. Number two, the poor kid has never, until this moment, been strapped to a chair and had a bib put around him and NOT recieved some food. So, I'm sure in his mind he was like, "What? Where's my food?" and "Who's this lady messin' with my hair? Why is she putting that machine that buzzes next to my head?" In the end he survived it all and looked super cute. How could he not?
That's about it for now except I have to share with you my favorite "Mom" moment I've had these past few weeks. We are in a one bedroom apartment at the moment until we get back to Mexico, so that means Jaxon shares the room with us. The other morning, WAAAAAY too early for Jaxon to be up...he was standing up in his crib, grabbing the rails and shaking them, looking at Ryan and I, yelling repeatedly, "Mama!" "Dada!" "Mama!" "Dada!" I guess he was ready to start the day.

To cute the one with Jax and Ryan...the the hair thing.
Amanda,
I think I made my way to your blog several months back, but alas, I did not have it added to my "1000 blogs" list and will do so immediately. Thanks for the comment. Jax is so sweet and I'll have to spend some time catching up right away. Please keep in touch and drop me a "comment" any time. . . I've recently decided to put my business focus on nursing moms as well as maternity and newborns, so I've been doing a lot of free work lately that's displayed on a private blog for the moms only . . . i'd be happy to let you in, need an email address. I'm sure I'll have more to say once I read up on your little man!!!
